Simply one charge
You can keep your party simple and just charge £1 for a cup of tea, but by providing biscuits and cakes too you can ask people to make an additional donation if they can.
Raffle
Why not hold a raffle at your party and source prizes from your local shops and businesses, or ask partygoers to donate a small prize.
Biscuits and cakes
Bake biscuits and cakes and provide them for your guests, then ask people to make an additional donation before they tuck in.
Guess how much?
Ask your guests to guess 'How many litres of water your cat drinks a year?', 'How many bags of dog food your dog consumes a year?' etc. Each person must pay a small sum to enter and the person that guesses the closest to your estimate wins 25% of the money raised for this competition and the rest goes towards your total donation to The Blue Cross.
Tea quiz
We have also included a fun quiz about tea in your event pack that you can play at your Tea Party. Ask all your guests to make an additional donation of at least £1 to take part in the quiz. Either act as the quiz master or invite one of your guests to take on the role. Your guests then call out the answers. The person or team with the most correct answers wins either 25% of the money raised for the quiz, or a small prize. The remaining money goes towards your total donation to The Blue Cross. Alternatively you can download the quiz from this website.
Tea tasting competition
Perfect for the discerning tea drinker. Purchase a variety of tea types and brands and organise a tasting area. Ask guests to pay at least £1 to enter the competition and the person who is most accurate receives a selection of tea or another small prize.
